dccAssist v1.80b1

Yes indeed! I’m finally releasing dccAssist v1.80 beta 1. Please remember this is a beta, and that I’m still working on some things…

…such as the ‘recent favourites’, this is where recently connected networks will be included in your favourites. Also the redesign of DA.quick still has some glitches to be resolved.

Please read the readme.txt for a more complete list of changes, though some additions I’m still working on aren’t yet listed.

If you encounter any problems with the beta, either add a comment, or email me.

NO LONGER AVAILABLE, USE BETA2

    I’ve been editing dccAssist to include a seperator bar when it’s loaded into the channel menu’s and such, it blends with other items, would be nice to have it do so as a default.

    Dillon, email at blackale@gmail.com with any code changes you’ve made, and I’ll consider it.

    Hey, this is a great program, I’ve used it for a long time. However I just recently upgraded my computer, and the newer version of mirc, and when I try and load dcc assist, I get this error message:

    /load: no such file ‘C:\Documents and Settings\Jeremy\Application Data\mIRC\dccAssist.mrc’

    Can you help please! Thanks!

    Jeremy, an easier approach to loading the addon is to do the following in an active mIRC session:

    You should place the addon in /mIRC/addons/ or similar

    1. Press ALT + R
    2. Click the File menu -> Load.. (CTRL + L)
    3. Browse for the addon “dccAssist.mrc” i.e. /mIRC/addons
    4. Click OK

    You should know be able to go to an active XDCC listing channel and Right Click -> dccAssist -> view packs (and it will collect the next active listings).

    Jeremy, for the latest mIRC on Windows XP/Vista the /Documents and Settings//Application Data/mIRC/ folder is there the addon should be placed for private settings and scripts.

    Is there any way we could get an FAQ or mini instruction manual?
    I’m trying to figure out how to modify the pack filters settings but I can’t get it to successfully capture what I put in there as valid packs.
    Thanks for starting this up again, brilliant script, use it every day!

    I use mirc 6.3 and I have a lot of problem with this release and 1.79, for example when i press F12 to save and exit there’s an error that I can’t read, when I restart mirc it doesn’t open my servers automatically and if I try to connect to one server another error income:
    * /filter: invalid window (line 521, dccAssist.mrc)
    -
    * /hadd: no such table ‘DA.Ini’ (line 4962, dccAssist.mrc)

    I have got other problems, if I open my favourite servers, with the script loaded, the autojoin function of mirc work only with some server…

    Unload the DCCAssist
    move the dcc assist Txt files to another folder
    Start Mirc

    1. Press ALT + R
    2. Click the File menu -> Load.. (CTRL + L)
    3. Browse for the addon “dccAssist.mrc” i.e. /mIRC/addons
    4. Click OK

    Stop mirc Put text files back and you should lose you previous queues

    Only get stuck with this still now

    and when I try /list , I get this error message:
    End of /List
    -
    * /filter: unable to open file ‘C:\Documents and Settings\sami\Application Data\mIRC\clists\NoDramaIRC.txt’ (line 388, dccAssist.mrc)

    Great script, been using it for years and can’t live without it.

    However, I upgraded my mIRC to 6.31 and now packs are gone. Even the packs window does not appear. I have unloaded and re-loaded dccAssist and same problem. This is the error:

    /hadd: no such table ‘DA.Filters’ (line 2240, dccAssist.mrc)

    @vice

    If you’re using mIRC v6.32, then that’s the reason for things looking ugly. I’ve needed to update the script for the new version.
