I recently read a comment in my previous post about dccAssist misinterpreting responses from bots. I’m eager to fix such issues, please post any examples here. (network/channel/bot/problem).
Incidentally, I’m more than willing to fix any issues, so please let me know, the more information the better. I rarely use the downloading side of dccAssist myself these days, so I’m quite out of touch.
I was hoping for a bit for interest, though I was mainly looking for bugs / suggestions, but none materialised, so it’s difficult for me to release something new.
Not done much work on dccAssist recently, though just this minute I had an interesting idea…
If I got at least 100 unique replies to this blog entry, I PROIMISE to release a new version in January 2009. If you have annoyances in the current version, feel free to post those.
When viewing a channel with packs, if you double click on the #pack it will be added to DA.Status.
Remember it’s the #pack or .pack (as in #altrock, where I use it alot), where you need to double click.
I’ve spent a few hours working on dccAssist today, fixing a few things, polishing a few others.
It must be the first time in well over a year I’ve spent a few hours on the script …rather than just minutes fixing something that’s broken after a new mIRC version. So there’s hope! 
)
Here’s a new beta release of dccAssist. I’m sticking with betas as the progress of the script is very slow at the moment due to personal issues, so I only work on dccAssist these days when something breaks, though I know some ‘recently’ added features still need work.
This version should work with mIRC v6.32, though if you notice any big problems, drop me a line and i’ll try and fix it quickly.
I’ve finally registered mIRC for a mere $20 (~£10) …I’ve had a reasonable amount of support from users for dccAssist over the years, so I’ve finally decided to pay homage to the author of mIRC, as without he, dccAssist wouldn’t of been possible.
It’s funny, a few days ago I was wondering when a new mIRC version would appear… and then one appears! It’s great timing considering my renewed interested in dccAssist.
I’ve not encountered any new issues between dccAssist v1.80b2 (soon!) & mIRC v6.3 as yet, though I’ve only just installed it. Do let me know if you experience any oddities.
Yes indeed! I’m finally releasing dccAssist v1.80 beta 1. Please remember this is a beta, and that I’m still working on some things…
…such as the ‘recent favourites’, this is where recently connected networks will be included in your favourites. Also the redesign of DA.quick still has some glitches to be resolved.
Please read the readme.txt for a more complete list of changes, though some additions I’m still working on aren’t yet listed.

Here’s the current version of dccAssist, for anyone who’s been looking for it. It’ll largely work ok in the latest mIRC.
Note: If you’re using mIRC v6.3 or higher, use the latest beta.
